Stella Norma MOCK Schriver 1924 - 2003 SHS 1944

CHAMBERSBURG - Stella N. Schriver, 78, of 1412 Hollywell Ave., died at 9:59 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2003, in Waynesboro Hospital.

Born Sept. 5, 1924, in Buffalo, Wyo., she was the daughter of the late Everett Valentine Mock and Gertrude Veronica Dorrenbacher Neese.

Mrs. Schriver was a member of Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg, where she was a member of the sewing circle.

She attended school in Sheridan, Wyo.

Mrs. Schriver and her husband, John J. Schriver, were married Feb. 20, 1961, in Denver, Colo. They had lived in Chambersburg since 1966 and at their present address since 1999. She worked in food service for the majority of her adult life. While in Chambersburg, she worked with her husband in a laundry service at Wilson College and also worked for the Mike Cipolla Catering Service, also in Chambersburg. She retired in 1989.

In addition to her husband, surviving is a son, James William Schriver of Houston, Texas; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. .

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Bruce Schriver, and two brothers, Everett Lincoln Mock Jr. and Robert Mock.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, 221 N. Main St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Harter will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro, handled the arrangements.
