Leonora "Nora" Gazdik, age 86, of Sheridan, WY, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

She was born Leonora Esther Mancini on March 5, 1926 in Kleenburn, WY to Domenico and Pasqualina Mancini. On May 11, 1947, Nora married Charles John Gazdik at Holy Name Church in Sheridan, WY.

Nora was one of the founding members and former President of the Big Horn Mountain Polka Club. She enjoyed singing, dancing, volunteering at the Sheridan Senior Center, and a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Nora's passion and drive was endless giving to family, friends, church, and community. Nora worked at First National Bank, and for the family owned Bino's Grocery for 50+ years. She was a devoted wife and mother and deeply loved and cherished her husband and family. She was a truly beautiful lady inside and out, incredibly energetic, positive, full of life and adventure. She truly cared for anyone and everyone, and treated everyone with love. She will be greatly missed.

Nora was preceded in death by both parents, son Anthony Gazdik, and brother Albino Mancini.

Nora is survived by husband Charles Gazdik, six children Chuck (Shirley) Gazdik of Casper, WY, Angela Bourquin of Missoula, MT, John (Sherri) Gazdik of Sheridan, WY, Christine (Stan) Mediate of Southlake, TX, Paul (Vicki) Gazdik of Longmont, CO, Veronica (Randy) Kent of Modesto, CA. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Pine of Sheridan, WY, twenty two grandchildren Denise (Gary) Boyd, Chuck (Tina) Gazdik, Valerie Schramm, Forrest Bourquin II., Trevor Bourquin, Thomas Bourquin, Rachael (Selby) Hansen, Nathan (Lydia) Gazdik, Angela (David) Hammond, Domenic Mediate, Carmine Mediate, Rocco Mediate, Vincent Mediate, Jordan Gazdik, Adam Gazdik, Tony Gazdik, Natalia Gazdik, Alex Gazdik, Alina Gazdik, Alona Gazdik, Kayla Kent, Jessica Kent, also thirteen great grandchildren Abigail Boyd, Charlie Boyd, Ylena Gazdik, Brennan Gazdik, Blake Hansen, Brandon Hansen, Tate Hansen, Reece Gazdik, Parker Gazdik, Kelson Gazdik, Miles Gazdik, Isabella Anderson, and Emily Hammond.

Visitation for Nora will be at 6 p.m with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Kane Funeral Home with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Elks Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall.
