Selwyn John "Chic" MADIA 1926 - 1989 SHS 1944

CENTRALIA, Wash. - Selwyn J. "Chic" Madia, 62, a Wyoming native, died March 3 after a long illness in his home in Centralia where he had lived since 1986.

He was born in Kleanburn, Wyo, and served for 12 years as state adjutant of the American Legion, Department of Wyoming before entering the hospitality management industry.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Holly Downey of Centralia and Mary Ann Cutter of Longmont, Colo.; two sons, Lt Frank Madia stationed with the U.S. Navy in Groton, Conn, and John Madia of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Dan Madia of Sheridan, Wyo, and John Madia of Dietz, Wyo.; two sisters, Lena Patz and Rose Marie Madia, both of Sheridan, Wyo.; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday in Centralia, Wash. T

he Newell-Hoer-ling Mortuary of Centralia was in charge.
