Elaine Hurst Andrews,- 56, of Route I, Box 280-C Corvallis, died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital.

She and R. Duane Andrews were married March 1, 1960, in Denver, Colo. In 1965 they moved to Corvallis, where Mr. Andrews is director of continuing education and summer term at Oregon State University.

Mrs. Andrews was born June 5, 1926, to Tom J. and Vera Hurst in Sheridan. Wyo. She earned an associate of arts degree from Stephens College, Columbia, Mo., and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyo.

Mrs. Andrews was a member of the .Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan.

Besides her husband, R. Duane of Corvallis, Mrs. Andrews is survived by a daughter, Sharon, and a son, Gregory, both of Corvallis; one , brother, Tom Hurst of Bothell, Wash.; and four sisters, Mary Amschel of Hemet, Calif., Jean Count of Caro, Mich., Carol McGlotlin of Long Beach, Calif., and Barbara McConnell of Laramie, Wyo.

Memorial services are planned at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, 333 N.W. 35th St. The Rev. Robert R. Hardman will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Oaklawn Cemetery.
