SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Shirley Carroll, 51, who was active in political, civic and educational affairs, died Saturday in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

She served two terms on Woodland Park School Board, was past president of Woodland Park and Wyoming PTAs, county chairman of American Red Cross, a member of Salvation Army advisory board, charter member of Sheridan College Alumni Association, treasurer and schedule coordinator for All-American Indian Days and a member of Wyoming PTA and Wyoming Educational Councils, League of Women Voters and Democratic Women's Organization, and for ten years a Cub Scout den mother.

Born in Sheridan, a daughter of Sidney and Dorothy Elstrom, she was a member of the first graduating class in Sheridan College.

In 1949 she married Donald Carroll in Sheridan. She was involved in sales at Carroll Realty Co.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, John and Steve of Sheridan and Geoff of Fairbanks, Alaska; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Henne Funeral Home in charge.

Memorials may be made to Sheridan College Foundation Fund.
