George Ellis Ekwall Passed away on October 22, 2010 at the age of 86.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years Barbara, his daughter, Georgie Poe (Donnie) and his much-loved grandson Austin. He is also survived by his sister Eileen, his brother Roy, and his faithful care person Mel.

George was born in Wyoming to Ellis and Alma Ekwall.

At a young age he joined the Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor at the time it came under attack. After serving four years with the Navy he joined the Air Force and retired after 20 years of service.

George was a member and Past Nobel Grand of the I.O.O.F. He also was a member of the S.I.R.S., Marin Rod and Gun Club, the Corte Madera Swingers, and the American Legion, Post 313.

He will be missed by all.

A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
