Janette E. Catterall, 88, passed away at the Green House Living on Thursday, July 10th.

Janette was born May 15th, 1926 at Monarch, Wyoming to Cliff and Nelle Allen. She attended school in Monarch and graduated from Sheridan High School. After graduation she continued her education at the Sisters of Charity School of Nursing at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT, in 1944-1947.

She returned home to marry her lifetime sweetheart, "Rich" Catterall on August 3rd, 1947. She held those 66 years closely to her heart after dad's passing in October.

Her nursing career was at the Sheridan Veterans Administration Medical Center. She was on building 64, an ambulatory psychiatric unit for 34 years. Her passion for the Veterans of War never left her side. She was always ready to help in any way possible.

After retirement in 1981, she became a member of the Creative Fiber Guild. It was such a joy for her to take classes in every imaginable sewing creation. She also belonged to the Sahida Temple #86 Daughters of the Nile, Naomi Chapter #2 Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Big Horn Mountain Polka Club. She was a very dedicated volunteer. She loved everyone around her and had many friends to share life's experiences with.

Janette was preceded in death by her loving husband, and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Michele (Bruce) Karlsson, and Beth (Steve) Ruby. Two beautiful grandchildren, Leanne (Ryan) Richardson and Allen Cluff.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Rock Creek Rehabilitation and to the wonderful staff at "The Whitney House" of the Green House Living facility.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.

A gravesite service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 18, in the Elks section.
