Albena VISINTIN Andrus 1925 - 2007 SHS 1943
; Albena Andrus, known as Bena to her friends, went home to her Savior on Oct. 27, 2007. We are so proud of her courage and determination to remain healthy, never once complaining. She was born in Acme, Wyo., on Dec. 18, 1925, daughter of David and Theresa Visintin. Growing up with two sisters and a brother, she attended grades one through eight in Acme and then was bussed to Sheridan for her high school years. After high school, she worked for the War Manpower Commission and Ohio Oil in Casper.

There, living in a boarding house, she met fellow boarder, Ted Andrus, fell in love, and married him on March 30, 1947. Dad had a job that required a lot of time away from home, so she was kept busy mothering four young children - three daughters and one son. What a wonderful mother she was! We knew she loved each one of us, caring for us as only a mother can do. Her gentle spirit permeated our home.

Upon retiring, Dad and she were able to enjoy traveling to many parts of the world. The wonders they experienced together were a highlight in their lives. Mom loved to bowl and enjoyed her home Bible study. Coming to accept Jesus as her Savior after her marriage was a turning point in her life. Her love for God and faithfulness in following Him grew as the years went on.

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren arrived, and they all received that same wonderful, loving care and attention that her own children received. She was always available and happy to help in whatever way she could giving solid advice when she was asked.

Known for her beautiful blue eyes, her generosity that knew no limit, her faithful prayers, and her warm smile, she was loved and respected by everyone. She gave freely to many asking nothing in return. We will miss her so much!

Bena was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted and daughter Patty Patrick.

She is survived by her three other children, Linda (Evan) Watkins, Kay (Dan) Padilla and Ted (Coleen) Andrus; her sisters Betty (Gino) Noldin, Nota Lewis and brother Al Visintin. She has eight grandchildren, Tina Rowe, Todd Watkins, Rachel Komisky, Aaron Patrick, Josh Patrick, Ashley Andrus, Rebekah Patrick, Brett Andrus; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 328 S. Shiloh Road, Billings, MT 59106, on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. Memorials can be made to Focus on the Family, PO Box 35500, Colorado Springs, CO 80935 and Emmanuel Baptist Church.

A special thanks to all those who encouraged and prayed for Mom.
