Louise Helen SOBOTKA Buchanan 1923 - 1999 SHS 1943

CASPER - Graveside services for Louise Helen (Sobotka) Buchanan, 75, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Evansville. Viewing for family and friends will be at Bustard's Funeral Home until noon the day of the service.

She died July 25, 1999, at Life Care Center in Casper.

She was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Monarch, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Stejkal) Sobotka. She was raised in Monarch and received her education there.

She married Ray Buchanan on March 19, 1946, in Monarch. They moved to Casper, where they resided. She worked for the Casper Credit Bureau for almost 24 years. She had worked as a secretary for the Casper Air Base during World War II.

She enjoyed bowling, walking and traveling with her husband.

Survivors include two daughters, Anita White and Becky Whitlock, both of Casper; three granddaughters, all of Casper, a grandson of San Jose, Calif.; three sisters; and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and may be left with Bustard's, which is In charge of arrangements.
