Beulah Margaret RAY Davi 1925 - 2018 SHS 1943

Beulah Margaret Davi died peacefully at home Jan. 27, 2018, she was 92 years old.

Beulah was born in Passaic Wyoming, Sept. 17, 1925. Her parents Robert Eldon Ray and Margariete Kerr Ray homesteaded and ran cattle on the plains of Wyoming. Beulah graduated from Sheridan High School in 1943 and came to Monterey at 18, to work for Western Union as part of the war effort. In Monterey she met and married her husband of 62 years, Nino Antonio Davi. Nino and Beulah made their home together in a wonderful Seaside neighborhood where they raised their family.

Beulah enjoyed camping, road trips, needlework, reading and walking and could be seen around Monterey, after the death of her husband, with Jack, her Australian Shepard. She enjoyed many volunteer activities throughout her life including, Braille transcription, working with the Franciscan Worker; feeding the poor, Saint Vincent DePaul bag lunch program, Cursillo and her 4th Day Group. Beulah was also a member of the Secular Carmelites.

Much loved for her sense of humor, deep spiritual faith, and her kind and giving spirit, she will be greatly missed.

Beulah is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Al, husband Nino, and 2 sons, Victor Davi and Eldon Davi.

Survived by her daughter Giolorma Davi, youngest son Anthony Davi, daughters-in-law Michele Davi and Katie Rivera; 7 grandchildren, Nino (Katy), Phillip (Christine), Christopher, Alison, Jessie, Victoria and Anthony; and 8 great grandchildren, Anna, Megan, Alex, Sarah, RC, Molly, Christian and Elijah.

A funeral mass will be celebrated for Beulah, Thursday Feb. 1, 2018 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 11 AM, 1475 LaSalle Ave, Seaside, graveside service to follow. at San Carlos Cemetery, Monterey.
