Josephine Smith, 84, of Sheridan, passed away at Sheridan Manor on May 12, 2009.

Josephine was born in Dixon, WY on October 18, 1924 to Harry and Pauline Lewis. She graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Harry Smith in Sheridan on June 6, 1944.

She worked as the office manager at Wyoming Well Service for twenty-five years before she retired.

Josephine enjoyed fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. She loved to square dance and painting and was an accomplished artist.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Robert, Ralph, and Jack Lewis; and sisters, Jenny Moyer and Jane Durkee.

She is survived by sister, Betty Conner.

Per Josephine’s request cremation has taken place. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Josephine’s name to the Kalif Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Fund, PO Box K, Sheridan, WY 82801.
