Marjorie Virginia Marty, 85, of Sheridan, WY, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Marge was born February 23, 1925 in Sheridan to Oscar G. and Minnie Amanda (Lundberg) Graham. She grew up in Sheridan and attended schools in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1943. Always loving Sheridan, she last resided only three blocks from the house where she was born.

In November 1944, she married Raymond E. Marty in Edgemont, SD. Marge and Ray first lived in Seaside, CA while Ray was assigned to Fort Ord, CA and later in Casper, WY from 1946 to 1948, while Ray trained as automotive technician, returning to Sheridan where they raised their family and started the Coffeen Auto Service.

Marge was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and was heavily involved in genealogy research. She loved taking pictures of her family. She loved to travel, especially to visit her family and to Hawaii.

Before retirement, Marge worked as a cashier and receptionist for Carl's Supermarket and Best Western Sheridan Center hotel, respectfully.

Marge was preceded in death by Ray in 2006, her sister Lylalee 'Ike' Sullivan and her parents.

Marge is survived by two sons, Larry (Cynthia) of Divide, CO, and Roger of Lakewood, CO and two daughters, Gayle Wells (Rick Clark) of Sheridan and Susan (Lonnie) Zastrow of Sioux Falls, SD; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her loving Schnauzer, Heidi.

Marge's family would like to give a special thank you to Marge's neighbors and friends, especially, Gabby & Mike Drennen, Rhonda, Ken & Heather Gould and Bill & Donna Stanbridge.

Visitation for Marge will be from 6PM to 8PM, Monday, August 23, 2010 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2PM, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Father John Meyer officiating. Interment will be next to Ray in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
