Chester Duane COTTON 1926 - 1984 SHS 1943

May 17, 1926 - June 16, 1984

SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Chester Duane Cotton, 58, ranched at Decker, Mont, until returning to Sheridan in 1977. He enjoyed raising cattle and horses and reloading ammunition.

Mr. Cotton, 58, died Saturday in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

He served in Phillipines during World War II and was an active supporter of the NRA and a member of American Legion.

He was born in Sheridan, a son of Chester Charles Cotton and Estella P. Seaman.

On Oct 31, 1949, he married Marian Barber in Miles City.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Curtis of Helena, Mont, John of Cheyenne, Sgt Benjamin of Fort Bragg, N.C,'and L. CpL Timothy of Okinawa; a daughter, Sandra Hall Renema of Summerland Key, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Sheridan LDS Church with burial in Custer National Cemetery.
