SHERIDAN -- The funeral for Sheridan resident Elsie Cherni, 80, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan by the Rev. Ron Stolcis.

She died July 2, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Born Dec. 3, 1924, in Sheridan, she was the daughter of Barbara (Hays) and Joseph Cherni; and spent her life working with her brothers on the family farm.

Survivors include three brothers, Steve, Rudy and William, all of Sheridan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Andy, Mike, Joe, Leslie and George.
