Patricia Ann Hoffman (Barkey), 80, of Longmont, CO passed away Tuesday, September 26th, 2006.

She was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming and was a 1943 graduate of Sheridan High School.

Patricia was an avid rose gardener, horse enthusiast, card player, and reader. Throughout her life she maintained a thirst for the history of the western United States stemming from a childhood raised on one of the larger ranches in northern Wyoming.

She married William Hoffman in Casper, Wyoming on November 9, 1943. After the war, the couple moved to the east coast and ran various farms and ranches until returning to the western United States in 1966.

Mrs. Hoffman served as a longtime volunteer at Longmont United Hospital and was a fixture in the Gunbarrel, Colorado area for over 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, William Hoffman Sr. of Longmont, CO, her daughter Ann Veeder, of Westminster, CO, her son William Jr., of Plainsview, TX, brothers, Ralph Barkey of Rohnert Park, CA and John Barkey, of Denver, CO, grandson Michael Veeder, of Longmont, CO, and great grandchildren Logan and Annika Veeder, of Longmont, CO.
