Sheridan native Allegra Jane “Tig” Skurok, 84, of Buffalo died March 15, 2008, in her home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo with the Rev. Jon Orwig officiating.

Private burial will follow the funeral. Arrangements are with Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Skurok was born April 23, 1923, in Sheridan to John and Docie Schoolcraft. She grew up and attended schools here, graduating in 1942 from Sheridan High School.

She married Andy Skurok on Dec. 23, 1943, in Hardin, Mont. They resided in Buffalo.

Mrs. Skurok was a clerk at the J.C. Penney store, Hesteds Five and Dime Store, and the New York Store. She also worked several years for the Buffalo Bulletin before retiring in 1999.

Mr. Skurok died in June 1997.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and the Friday afternoon lunch club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and spending time with her family at their cabin in the Big Horn Mountains.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Vanderhoef; three sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include a son, Ron of Mills; a daughter, Susi Skurok of Buffalo; two sisters, Mildred McDaniel of Green Valley, Ariz., and Reba Busk of Billings; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice or Wyoming Special Olympics in care of Adams Funeral Home in Buffalo.
