Curtis Glen SALES 1924 - 2018 SHS 1942

Curtis Glen Sales died April 11, 2018, at Sheridan Manor under Hospice care.

He was born to parents William and Minta (Moore) Sales on January 1, 1924, in Archie, MO and came to Sheridan as a toddler. He graduated from Sheridan High School and during that time rose to the rank of Eagle Scout in the local Boy Scouts.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was attached to the Medical Corps. After discharge he returned to Sheridan to work at the Veterans Administration where he met and married a Naval Cadet Nurse, Barbara Blakemore, they later divorced, after having two children. They moved to Kansas where he received his degree from Kansas University for Physical Therapy. They then returned to Sheridan where he first worked as Head of Department at the Sheridan Memorial and volunteering weekends doing evaluations and therapy for the local Polio victims in a room in the basement of the local court house. Then he moved to the Veterans Administration as Head of Department until his retirement.

He always enjoyed his hunting and fishing from the time he was a young boy.

Curtis is survived by his wife Joan Sales of Sheridan, his brother Pastor Don Sales of Pueblo, CO., his daughter Susan (Jay) Pilcher of Billings, MT., his son Don (Sheila) Sales of Sheridan, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
