Robert Warren ROUSH 1922 - 2012 SHS 1942

Robert Warren Roush died February 6, 2012.

Robert Warren Roush was born on August 5, 1922 to Perceale T. and Margret (Hustewait) Roush in Sheridan, WY. He grew up in Sheridan and attended Sheridan area schools. Bob was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Bob entered the United States Navy Air Corp in 1942 and was an Aviation Machinists Mate Second Class working on aircraft in the Philippines. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation, WWII Victory and Good Conduct Medals.

When he was old enough to help, Bob began his career as a plumber working for his father who started Roush Plumbing and Heating. He later became a master plumber and owner of Roush Plumbing, selling the business in 2005.

Bob married Evelyn Mae Gempler on June l, 1946. He was completely devoted to Evelyn for their more than 65 years of marriage. He loved hunting, fishing, genealogy, carpentry, making playthings for his children and playing games with family and friends.

His parents, brothers Glenn, Ralph and Clarence and a sister, Helen who died at birth, preceded Bob in death.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, sons Mark and Dan; daughters Janie (David) Terrell, Bonnie (Robert) Judge, 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2051 Colonial Drive with Bishop Roger Brinkerhoff officiating. Viewing will be at 12:00pm. Interment will be at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
