SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Services for James Vermont Morgan, 50, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Champion's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan died Sunday at his home south of Sheridan as the result of a gunshot wound. .

He was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Monarch, the son the son of Harold and Myrtle Morgan.

He was a veteran of World War II.

On July 23, 1947, he married Helde Mayer in Sheridan.

Mr. Morgan was a member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Charles of Cody and Curtis of Sheridan; two daughters, Cynthia Morgan of Sheridan and Charlotte Bergman in Germany; five brothers, Herbert and Vern, both of Gillette, Dave of Sheridan and Allen and John, both of Worland; the mother, Myrtle Weigeman of Sheridan and a grandchild.
