Andrew Joseph MASCHER 1924 - 1992 SHS 1942

BANNER - Services for Andrew Joseph Mascher, 68, Will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Champion Funeral Home by Rev. Ted Troble. Graveside services will be accorded by the Elks Lodge in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Mascher died Sept. 29, 1992, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 17, 1924, at Sheridan, the son of pioneer ranchers Andy and Mariam (Harper) Mascher. He attended Banner School and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1942. .

During World War II, Mr. Mascher served With the U.S. .Army in the 24th Tank battalion and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

He later received a B.S. degree from the University Of Wyoming.

Mr. Mascher was employed as purchasing agent for Jersey Creamery in Sheridan for 32 years and retired in 1983.

He enjoyed the Big Horn Mountains and was an avid fisherman.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Elks Lodge, American Legion and the Sheridan County Weed and Pest Board.

Survivors include several cousins.

Memorials to either 'the Story Volunteer Fire Department Box 4, Story 82842; to the First Presbyterian Church, 2121 Colonial Drive, Sheridan 82801; or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

The Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
