OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - January 12, 2002

SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Sheridan resident Mary Louise Anderson, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church with Pastors Doug Melius and Heather Bartlow officiating.  Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died of complications related to Parkinson's disease Jan. 9, 2003, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

A native of Sheridan, she was born Feb. 20, 1924, to Alex and Myrtle (Clark) MacLennan.  She grew up and graduated high school in Sheridan. She then attended Park College in Parkville, Mo., and the University of Minnesota School of Nursing in Minneapolis.

On Dec. 20, 1944, she married Bruce Anderson at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan.

They lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for 40 years, where she was employed at Stable on the Alley Antiques, as a preschool teacher at Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church, and in the admissions department of St. Luke's Hospital.  After retiring, the couple returned to Sheridan in 1998.

She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter GM and Quester in Cedar Rapids and First Presbyterian Church in Sheridan.

She loved raising her five children, and enjoyed cooking, collecting antiques, traveling and following professional sports, especially golf.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Anderson of Sheridan; three sons, Peter Anderson of Granbury, Texas, Stewart Anderson of Big Horn and John Anderson of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Kathryn Maack of El Cerrito, Calif., and Christine Anderson Jenkins of Sheridan; one brother, Roderick MacLennan of Bennett, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorials may benefit First Presbyterian Church of Sheridan.
