Former Sheridan-area resident Albert Raymond Lupton, 74, of Casper, died April 8, in Casper.
He was born Aug. 13, 1921, to Frank and Alice (Van Gorter) Lupton.
He was a 1942 graduate of Sheridan High School, then served in the Army during World War II--mostly in Normandy and the European Theater.
He married Catherine Frances "Fran" Sesseman in Sheridan on Sept. 23, 1945.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He moved from Sheridan to Casper in 1956.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1994, a brother and three sisters.
He is survived by a son, Donald of Denver; two daughters, Sharleen Meadows of Emigrant, Mont., and Kathy Rowland of Casper, a brother, Cecil Lupton of Sheridan; a sister, Oriel States of Sheridan; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Veterans Cemetery in Casper.
