Archie A. Chesler, of Sacramento, passed away on Aug 19, 2011.

Born on Nov 23, 1923, in Acme, WY.

Cherished husband of Barbara for 58 years whom he met on a Sierra Club hike. Devoted father to Dean, Evan (Donna), and Maralee (Mark). Loving grandfather to Kathryn, Andrew, Calvin, Kenny, Heather, and James. Archie's greatest pride was his family.

He proudly served in the Army in the Pacific during World War II and continued his public service as a civil engineer at the State Water Resources Control Board.

He was a long-term Mason with the Capital City Lodge 499. He volunteered in many youth organizations, including Pocket Little League baseball and Bobby Sox softball.

He enjoyed public speaking and achieved Toastmaster International's highest honor - "A Distinguished Toastmaster."

Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sat, Aug 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church at 1701 L Street, Sacramento, CA.
