David Oscar YOUNGREN 1923 - 1997 SHS 1941

SHERIDAN - Funeral services for David Oscar Youngren, 73, will be held on Monday at noon at Champion Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Acacia section, Big Horn Mountain Lodge No. 43 of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Masonic graveside services by Big Horn Lodge 43 and military honors by the American Legion and the Wyoming National Guard.

Mr. Youngren died at Sheridan Memorial Hospital on March 27, 1997.

He was born May 4, 1923, in Sheridan, the son of Iver Nathanel and Alma Grace (Johnson) Youngren. He was a Sheridan High graduate and also attended Lutheran College in Nebraska.

He served as captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He married Shirley Thomas on March 2, 1945. at Kingman, Ariz

He was engaged in his own brick masonry business until his retirement

He was a member of Big Horn Mountain Lodge No, 43, a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, Kalif Shrine, Oriental Band, Royal Order of Jesters, CRT 135, Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

Survivors include daughters, Kathlene McNamee of Butte Mont., and Susie Y. Johnson of Gillette and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be designated to the Shrine Children's Fund, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank. Sheridan 82801.
