SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Winifred I. Woodhead; 86, will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 25, 2006, at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Eagles section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.

She died March 22, 2006, at Westview Health Care Center.

She was born Oct. 20, 1919, in Sheridan, to Walter and Emma (Kulper) Harris. She grew up and attended schools in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1941.

She married William Woodhead on March 20, 1941, in Sheridan and they lived and raised their family in Sheridan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Leo and her husband of Sheridan and Wanda Sloan and her husband of Cave Junction, Ore.; eight grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Nellie Harris and Naomi Bissell and two brothers, Walt and Floyd Harris.

Memorials may be made to the Sheridan Senior Citizens Center, 211 Smith St., Sheridan, 82801 or the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
