Sheridan native Robert W. Wallace, 82, of Yardley, Pa., died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, in Chandler Hall Hospice in Newton, Pa. Private services are planned later.

Mr. Wallace attended Sheridan schools and graduated from the University of Wyoming.

He taught school in Connecticut and moved to Yardley after he retired.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart.

He was an avid gardener, sports fan and animal lover.

He was a former employee of Jones of New York in Bristol, Pa.

Survivors include his wife, Beverlie Dunham Wallace; a daughter, Deirdre Stecker of Morrisville, Pa.; two sons, Scott of Greeley, Colo., and Miles of Norwalk, Conn.; five grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
