Kenneth Lowell Switzer, 93, died Tuesday July 18, 2017 in Ojai, CA.

Kenneth was born on August 25, 1923 in Crawford, NE to Wayne Joseph and Esther Waugh Switzer. He and eight of his brothers and sisters grew up living on several ranches in the Sheridan, Wyoming area. He loved playing football and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1941. After high school, he and two brothers moved to the Hillside, AZ area to ranch.

Kenneth married Marcelene Jo Harley in Hillside, AZ in 1951 after meeting at the Prescott Rodeo. They had three children: Kaleen, Jeff and Cindy. They later moved to California where Kenneth worked as a real estate broker selling ranches and land. He was very active with his children in sports and loved being involved in horse racing where he sent many horses to Los Alamitos.

Kenneth is survived by his children: Kaleen (Dee) Dunning, Ashland, MT; Jeff (Debbie) Switzer, Ojai, CA; and Cindy (Peter) Mohseni, Sheridan, WY. Grandchildren: Mika (James) Leno, Teka (Toby) Larson; Carrie (Tyler) Turner, Heather (Matt) Brown, Jordan (Jodi) Switzer, Shellie Switzer, Blane Switzer; Jackson (Julia) Mohseni, Logan Mohseni, Gus Mohseni and eight great grandchildren. Siblings: Marilyn Toland, Sheridan, WY; Bill Switzer, Ojai, CA; Frances Brewster, CA; Nancy Haynos, KS; Brother-in-Law, Stan (Shirley) Harley, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marcelene of 60 years, three brothers, Dean, Bob and Jack Switzer, and one sister, Prudence Grunkemeyer.
