OBITUARIES - THE CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - Saturday, July 12, 2003

SHERIDAN - Memorial services for Sheridan resident E. Keith Salisbury, 80, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 14, at Champion-Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan by Fr. Paul Sneve.  Interment will be in Sheridan Elks Cemetery, officiated by Sheridan Elks Lodge No. 520.

He died July 9, 2003, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan.

Born Feb. 3, 1923, in Sheridan, he was the son of Lloyd and Avon (Pence) Salisbury; was raised and educated there; and graduated from Sheridan High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan and then returned to Sheridan.

In 1950, he married Doris Rose in Sheridan.  She preceded him in death in 1974, after 24 years of marriage.

He worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center until his retirement in 1974.

In 1988, he married Edith Geer.

A Little League coach and Scoutmaster, he was a volunteer fireman in Big Horn for several years; was one of the organizing members of AFGE Union in Sheridan; and belonged to Elks Lodge No. 520 and American Legion Post No. 7.  He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed hunting, bowling, dancing, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife of Sheridan; son, Richard Salisbury of Tucson, Ariz.; twin brother, Kenneth Salisbury of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
