Anne ROSS Bond 1922 - 2016 SHS 1941

Anne Ross Bond, 93, of Nebraska City, formerly of Union died January 3, 2016 at The Ambassador in Nebraska City.

Anne was born September 24, 1922 in Sheridan, WY, the daughter of Theodore and Mary (Kutcher) Ross. Anne graduated from the Sheridan High School in 1941 and worked for a short time in the Wyoming State Employment Office.

She married Deloss J. Bond August 23, 1941 in Hardin, MT. Deloss died October 8, 1986.

Anne worked in a Defense Plant in Denver during World War II and formerly lived in Idaho and Oklahoma before moving to Union in 1957. Anne formerly worked at Ocoma Foods, Morton House Kitchens and The Sewing Factory and later worked as a horticulturist at Arbor Lodge. She was an area leader for Green Thumb and was in charge of seven counties and workers. Anne worked at the Cass County Museum before retiring.

She was a former member of the Christ Lutheran Church near Louisville and said her greatest job was raising 7 God given children.

She is survived by her children: Milton H. Bond and wife Esther of Hamburg, IA; Dee Johnson and husband Dave of Nebraska City; Janie Heiser and husband Marvin of Nebraska City; Richard Bond and wife Gail of Nebraska City; Linda Viox and husband Alan of Nebraska City; Debbie Miller of Omaha; daughter-in-law, Beverly Bond of Wahoo; brother- in-law, Ernest Bond of York; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; close friend, Dolores Rozell of Plattsmouth; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Bond; granddaughter, Stephanie Johnson; brother, Johnnie Ross and sister, Helen Thaxton.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nebraska City. Burial of ashes will follow at East Union Cemetery near Union.

Memorials are suggested to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
