Lea Ahlstrom, 89, of Cheyenne and formerly of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

She was residing in Virginia with her son, Vance and his wife Penney, and her grandson Tyler.

Lea was born July 6, 1922 in Sheridan, the daughter of Charles and Barbara Moncini.

Lea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vance T. "Bud" Ahlstrom; one sister; and two brothers.

Lea has two surviving sons, Vance T. Ahlstrom, Jr. of Virginia, and Charles Tavelli and his wife Gail of Cheyenne; three grandsons, Chad Tavelli of Denver, Chace Tavelli and his wife Ali of Cheyenne, and Tyler Ahlstrom of Virginia; and one great-granddaughter, Alina Tavelli of Cheyenne, the daughter of Chace and Ali Tavelli.

Lea was buried in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens on May 15, 2012 beside her husband Vance T. Ahlstrom, who passed away in 1989. Her sister Leona is nearby.

Lea was a wonderful mother and person with a gift for flower gardening and tending to her yard. She was a kind soul and a kindred spririt. She loved nature in all its wonder and beauty.

Lea will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends and will live forever in the hearts of those she loved.

Lea will now travel throughout eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ.
