Elliott Thomas MINICK 1921 - 1990 SHS 1941

RIVERTON - Services for Wyoming native, Elliott Thomas Minick, 68, were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Riverton Unitled Methodist Church by Rev. Don Smith of the Neighborhood Alliance Church.

Mr. Minick died Jan. 27, 1990, cat Riverton Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Upton to Hubert and Sarah (Norris) Minick. He was reared and educated in Sheridan and graduated from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Minick was a public accountant.

On Aug. 24, 1947, he married Margaret R. Solandt in Newton Centre, Mass. He came to Riverton with his wife to establish his accounting practice with his partner, Keith Bruce. His practice was later turned over to his son, Dave.

Mr, Minick was a World War II Army veteran and a member 6f the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Riverton school board from 1957 to 1969.

He also was a member of the Central Wyoming College board from 1970 to 1982 and a member of the Jaycees, Lions Club, Izaak Walton League and the Rotary Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching, history and rock hunting.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by three sons, David of Riverton, Norris of Northbrook, I11. and Jim of The Dalles, Ore.; one daughter, Gail Brow of Anaheim, Calif.; two brothers, Dr. Richard Minick of New York, N.Y., and Dr. Hubert Minick of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Eva Jean Morganweck of Sheridan; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton with military honors accorded by VFW Post 3628.

Memorials to the CWC Scholarship Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
