Milton L. McKenna, 79, formerly of Sheridan died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, in Riddle Memorial Hospital, Glen Mills, Pa. Services were Aug. 10 in St. Cornelius Church in Chadds Ford, Pa. Burial was private.

He was a 1941 graduate of Sheridan High School and still attended SHS reunions.

He attended the University of Washington as a member of the Navy ROTC. He was commissioned into active service early in 1944 and served aboard the USS Sangamon, an aircraft carrier, in the South Pacific. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He returned to the University of Washington and graduated with a degree in aeronautical engineering.

He was stationed at the Naval Air Materials Center in Philadelphia during the Korean War.

He later was vice president of acquisitions for Aerojet General Corp.'s Atlantic Division in Frederick, Md., and with Gulf-Western, Spivy Co. and as president of the MI. McKenna Co. in the Philadelphia area.

He was a member of St. Cornelius Church.

Survivors include his wife, Camille of Glen Mills; two daughters, Cynthia Sheridan of Virginia and Susan Sotiropoulos of Glen Mills; two sisters, Velma Chavez of New Mexico and Mary Delaney of Arizona; and three grandchildren.
