Dale Louis MACBRIDE 1923 - 2010 SHS 1941

Dale L. MacBride, 86, of Toledo, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010, at Manor of Perrysburg.

He was born January 21, 1923, and was the son of Lamont and Mary Ann MacBride.

He grew up in Sheridan, WY and met his wife, Betty, in Toledo, at the former Trininon Ball Room. She preceded him in death in 1995.

Dale served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War, retired as Chief Petty Officer at the Toledo Armory and was a former co-owner of Welly's Horseradish Company, in Fremont, OH. He was also a very avid golfer.

Survivors include his son, Lamont MacBride; daughters, Marlene (James) Wing and Jacqui (Sam) Wozniak; grandchildren, Meredith (Brian) Minoske and Michelle (Scott) Grau; great-grandchildren, Jacob Minoske and Zachary Minoske and his brother, Dutton MacBride, of Henderson, NV.

Friends are invited to visit from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Manor of Perrysburg, for the wonderful care and support given to Dale and his family.
