DeLoris Sammartino, our much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend, left us on Christmas Day, 2012, to rejoin with all who rejoice in a better place.

Born in Andersonville, Ind., to Lester and Hilda Johnson on Sept. 11, 1922, she grew up in Sheridan, Wyo., with nine siblings.

She served in the Women's Air Corps during WWII.

She married Al Sammartino on May 23, 1942, in Arlington, Va. They enjoyed 63 years together. Four children joined them to make their family.

Her husband Al and son David, as well as many loved ones, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons Allen and Mike (Toni) and daughter Linda, all of Billings; seven adored grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several sisters, brothers- and sisters-in-law; many well-loved nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

A memorial will be held in the spring.
