Elizabeth "Betty”" Mary CATTERALL Rawlings 1922 - 1997 SHS 1941

SHERIDAN - Services for Elizabeth "Betty" Mary Rawlings, 74, will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home with Fr. David Duprey officiating. Interment will follow in the Elks Cemetery.

Mrs. Rawlings died April 28, 1997, at her Sheridan residence.

She was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Monarch, the daughter of James and Rose (Warner) Catterall.

She married F.C. "Cap" Rawlings in Hardin, Mont., on Aug. 2, 1941.

She was a lifelong Sheridan County resident. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and also enjoyed camping in the mountains, traveling, sewing, gardening, playing golf and bowling.

She was a member of the Forest Rebekah Lodge of Dayton for several years, the Ranchester Women's Club and St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Carolyn Tam llos and Sarah Hartman.

Survivors include her husband of Sheridan; four sons, Charles Rawlings II of Sheridan, James Rawlings of Broomfield, Colo., Dale Rawlings of Sheridan and Lanis Rawlings of Dayton; four daughters, Rebecca Tetschner of Sheridan, Judith Richie of Denver, Florence Sundquist of Ranchester and Julie Caywood of Parkman; one brother, Richard Catterall of Sheridan; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in her memory may be designated to the Elks Cemetery Fund in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan 82801.
