John Egnoce Buszkiewic, 87, of Banner died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Kane Funeral Home with a vigil service following at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church followed by private burial.

Born July 8, 1922, in Kooi to Ignac and Anna (Mates) Buszkiewic, he was baptized at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Kleenburn in 1922.

He enjoyed ranching, hunting, fishing, watching bull riding on television, riding his four-wheeler, and especially his grandchildren, friends and neighbors on Upper Prairie Dog Road.

He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Buszkiewic, and a sister, Frances (Buszkiewic) Legerski.

Survivors include five sons, Brett M. Buszkiewic of Banner, James J. Buszkiewic and Robert A. Buszkiewic, both of Littleton, Colo., and John P. Buszkiewic and Sean Moore, both of Laramie.
