James R."Dick" Young died peacefully on February13, 2010 at 86years of age.

He was born April20,1923, in Sheridan, Wyoming. He entered UCLA in September 1940. Dick left UCLA to serve in the US Army. He received two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars for bravery and meritorious service. He retired from the SoCal EdisonCompan in 1986.

Dick's passion was his family. He and Mary wed in1945 and raised five children - Cathy, Anne, Trisha, Jim and Barbara - who gave them ten grandchildren.

Dick's life was defined by personal connections. He has left this world a far richer place and remains deeply rooted in our hearts.
