Robert O'Neill "Willie" Williamson passed away on May 13, 2017 at the age of 94.

Robert was born in Sheridan Wyoming to Robert Samuel and Minnie Mae O'Neill Williamson on August 31,1922. He spent almost all his years in Sheridan, and on August 29,1941 he married Helen Shirley Hale and between them they raised 5 children.

Robert was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a World War II Veteran. Serving in the Asiatic Pacific region and Japan after the war, in the 453rd Engineering Depot Co.

He was an excellent mechanic and carpenter, building both of his own homes.

He loved hunting, fishing, and the mountains around Sheridan. He spent many winters in Mexico when he got older.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Shirley and second wife Anne Martin, his brother Norman, and one great grandchild, Brooklyn.

He is survived by his 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and 1 brother Dick Williamson.

He will be remembered for his witty dry humor and his ability to invent or build anything.

Services will be held in Sheridan later this summer.
