Mrs. Patricia A. Janki, 84, of Lake City, died Saturday evening, April 7, 2007, in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley following an extended illness.

A native of Illinois, Mrs. Janki was the daughter of the late Thomas Ray & Annette Virostek Wilkes. She had been a resident of Lake City since 1994 having moved here from Miami, Florida.

Mrs. Janki was a retired federal employee having worked until 1971 as a civil service medical supply clerk.

In her spare time, Mrs. Janki enjoyed working 1,000-piece puzzles and was of the Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Janki was preceded in death by her husband, retired MSGT John Janki.

Mrs. Janki is survived by three sons, Marcus Smith, Miami, Florida; Dennis Smith, Lake City, Florida; John L. Janki (Bernice) of Lake City, Florida; two daughters, Victoria Ann Skiles (James) of Utah and Blanche Jordan of Lake City; and her two sisters, Madge Personette of Washington State and Margurette Wells of Oklahoma. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Janki will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday.
