Chester David RICE 1921 - 2004 SHS 1940

Chester D. Rice died on September 13, 2004.

He was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, on February 26, 1921, to Samuel and Myrta Rice.

He served his country honorably in World War II and Korea as a Navy corpsman.

Chester spent most of his adult life in Spokane, WA, where he met and married his Barbara who survives him.

He is also survived by 2 brothers, 15 children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, one brother and 2 sisters.

He was an accomplished rock layer and owned his own Brick Masonry Company in Spokane. Chester also loved to water ski, dance and just plain having fun.

In 2003, Chester and his wife moved to Richland to live with their daughter, LeeAnn Curry, until his health caused him to spend time in Rosetta Assisted Living in Kennewick, Quail Hollow Memory Care, and Richland Lifecare until the Lord took him home.

Memorial services will be held in Spokane, WA, at the Valley VFW 1435 on September 26, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. He was a lifetime member of this post.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Hospice House in Kennewick, WA.
