Mary A. Meadows, 79, of Cheyenne died Oct. 26, 2001, at Life Care Center.

She was born March 30, 1922, in Bay Horse, Mont., and had lived in Cheyenne since 1955.

She graduated from High School in Sheridan.

Mrs. Meadows was a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital for 18 years, retiring in 1987.

She is survived by two sons, John Meadows of Gillette and Tim Meadows of Cheyenne; a daughter, Jacque Shanor of Jackson; a brother, Zib Portwine of Bay Horse; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Meadows on Oct. 24, 1973; her parents, Dan and Hattie Portwine and three brothers, Al Portwine, Roland Portwine and Ed Portwine.
