SHERIDAN - A funeral service for Harriette Anna Paul, 86, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at the Champion Ferries Funeral Home, with Pastor Cathy Brown officiating. Interment will be at Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo.

There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, Sept.16, 2008.

She died on Sept. 13, 2008, Westview Health Care Center, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on May 21, 1922, in Sheridan, the daughter of Thomas and Stella (Miller) Lucas. She grew up in Sheridan graduating from Sheridan High School.

She married Lawrence Paul on Nov. 20, 1944, in Hardin, Mont.

They moved to Tracy, Calif., where her husband worked for Holly Sugar and she for the Bureau of Reclamation up until the time she retired.

In 1989, they returned to Wyoming making their home in Buffalo.

After her husband died in 1990, she was cared for by her nephew, Jerry Lucas and his wife.

She enjoyed going to her bible study group, attending concerts and play productions, and traveling.

She cherished her family and canine companion "Punky".

She especially enjoyed watching her great-great-nieces and nephews grow.

She is survived by and loved by numerous nieces and nephews in Sheridan and those many miles away.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pearl Despins; and brother, Cliff Lucas.
