Elwood Edwin LIVINGSTON 1921 - 1975 SHS 1940

May 19, 1921 - Aug. 10, 1975.

Elwood Edwin Livingston, 54, of 2540 Miles Ave., died Sunday morning at his home. Police said Mr. Livingston was apparently the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He was born May 19, 1921, in Sheridan, Wyo., a son of Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Livingston. He grew up and attended school in Sheridan. During World War II, he served in the Army and was assigned to G-2 headquarters in the Pacific under General Douglas MacArthur. Mr. Livingston returned to Sheridan after the war and began work for the Big Horn Coal Co. as a draftsman.

In 1961 he purchased Sheridan Sand and Gravel and Ready-Mix Plant and operated it until 1966.

In 1968, he came to Billings and married Pearl L. Becker Jan. 31, 1969.

For the past two years he had worked as a draftsman for Hanover Petroleum Co.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, John Randall of 1120V2 Princeton Ave., and Gregory Bryce of Lakewood, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. George Mathis of Sheridan and Mrs. Wayne Hislop and Shirley Jean Livingston, both of Grants Pass, Ore.; a brother, Amil Livingston of Sheridan; a sister, Mrs. Willard Gillette of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, the Rev. Sheldon G. Helsley of Whitehall officiating. Cremation wil. follow the services.
