Walter Carl LINDSTROM 1920 - 1997 SHS 1940

SHERIDAN - Services for Walter Carl Lindstrom, 70, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home by Terry Roelsema. Interment will follow in Sheridan Cemetery.

Mr. Lindstrom died Feb. 21, 1997, at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 21, 1920, in Sheridan, the son of Walter C. and Irene M. (Mills) Lindstrom. He graduated from Sheridan High School and then entered the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945.

On Aug. 31, 1941, he married Clara Barnes in Sheridan. She preceded him in death in December 1989.

Following his discharge from the service, Mr. Lindstrom returned to Sheridan where he owned and operated Green Heating "Orr" Plumbing until 1990.

He loved hunting, fishing, watching wildlife and rodeos.

He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union No. 199 in Sheridan.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lindstrom was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lucille Cornwell.

Survivors include three sons, Lonnie C. Lindstrom of Sparks, Nev., Jonnie K. Lindstrom of Gillette; and Donnie G. Lindstrom of Sheridan; a brother, Byron Lindstrom; a sister, Irene "Babe" Harzke; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Memorials to the High School Rodeo Association, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801, would he appreciated by the family.
