Helen Madelon KUMOR Paustian 1922 1998 SHS 1940

SHERIDAN - A graveside service for Helen M. Paustian, 75, will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Sheridan Elks Cemetery with George Tellez officiating.

Mrs. Paustian died Jan. 5, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

She was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Sheridan, the daughter of Gus and Anna (Bartus) Kumor. She grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan. She graduated from Sheridan Beauty College and worked in a beauty shop in Newcastle until she married Paul Paustian on Jan. 31, 1942, in Billings, Mont. They ranched near Ranchester until 1948. She then worked with her husband operating several different businesses in Ranchester until they moved into Sheridan in 1975.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of DOES Drove No. 127.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Joe Kumor; and four sisters, Amelia Ross, Mary Harris, Tekla Tone and Anne Long.

Survivors include her husband of Sheridan; four sons, Larry Paustian of Phoenix, Dan Paustian of Sheridan, Jim Paustian of Albuquerque, N.M., and Paul Paustian of Las Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Stella Davis of Sheridan, nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
