Stella Josephine Hale, 79, of Sheridan died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at her residence. A service of remembrance and luncheon will be noon Thursday in the Knights of Columbus Building, 301 E. Brundage St., with Father Ronald Stolcis officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Hale was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Sheridan to Paul and Susanna (Kavalok) Kobielusz.

She attended Sheridan schools and graduated from Heiman Business School in Sheridan. She married Thomas Jefferson Hale Feb. 6, 1942, in Hardin, Mont.

She was bookkeeper for Frickey’s Heating and Air-conditioning and Alpine Climate Control until 1994, when she retired. She enjoyed making quilts, watching cooking shows on television, making stews for dogs and cooking for her friends and co-workers. Two stepbrothers preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Wayne of Denver; and a daughter, Marcia Hale of Boise, Idaho. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Sheridan Animal Shelter or charity of donor’s choice in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, Sheridan, WY 82801.
