SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Elizabeth Christina Gilday worked as a licensed practical nurse at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital for 40 years.

Mrs. Gilday, 67, died Monday in Westview Health Care Center after a long illness.

A daughter of Andrew and Dora Mitchell Knudson, she was born and educated in Sheridan. During World War II, she worked at the supply center at the military base in Cheyenne.

On May 11, 1945, she married Dale E. Gilday in Cheyenne and they returned to Sheridan in 1946.

He died Feb. 28, 1978.

Survivors include her brother, Lowell Knudson of Newport Beach, Calif.; and her sister, D. Lucille Jamison of Boulder, Colo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Champion's Funeral Home with burial in Masonic No. 8 section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
