BUFFALO - Funeral services for Jim Hebbert, 79. will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Tom Saur officiating. Graveside committal services will be held following the funeral with the VFW and American Legion in charge of military graveside rites.

He died Feb. 2 2002 at the V. A. Medical Center in Sheridan.

He was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Sheridan County to William and Alma Hebbert. He grew up and received his education in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1940. After high school he joined the Army Air Corp and served during World War II. After the war he worked at Camp Cook in the accounting department.

He was married Sept. 15, 1955, in Santa Barbara, Calif, to Wynes Donald. They made their home in Santa Barbara where he was a driver for Mayflower Trucking. In 1962, they moved to Oroville, Calif., where they built the Golden Oaks Mobile Home Park.

In 1970, they moved back to Sheridan where he and his family owned and operated the Gnomes Home Ceramic Studio. They sold the ceramic studio in 1976 and moved to Caron, Calif., to manage mobile home parks. They returned to Wyoming in 1980 and he worked for the Casper School District until 1982. when they moved to Buffalo. he was the head of maintenance for Buffalo and Kaycee High Schools. He retired in 1992 and had spent the last several years working for City Liquor in Buffalo.

He was a past member of Sheridan Elks Lodge. He was avid bowler and loved the he spent fishing with his grandson on Clear Creek.

Survivors include his wife; two daughter, Dannie Cangiamilla and husband of Sheridan, and Sandi Davis husband of Ventura, Calif.; Tim Hebbert and wife of seven grandchildren; two honorary grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog. Trinket.

He was preceded in death his parents; two brothers, Clarence and his big brother, Bill; and one sister, Alice.

Memorials may be made the St. Francis Animal Shelter the Clear Creek Elementary School Library in care of the Adams Funeral Home.
