November 3, 1923 - July 2, 2017

SALEM - Maxine Russom, 93, passed away July 2 with her family at her side.

She was born in Alliance, NE to Dickand Marjorie Colvin, growing up on a farm and a golf course. She graduated from Sheridan, WY High.

She married her husband of 56 years, Fred Russom, in Boise, ID in 1944. They moved to Salem in 1948 where they raised Kathy, Kris. Rick,Teri and Lori.

They owned KC Drugs in Keizer where she was the bookkeeper.

Maxine loved to tell stories of her youth and had a special love for pigs. She liked seeing the birds and squirrels and had plenty of pansies and tomatoes growing on her deck. She loved to rhyme and made the greatest thanksgiving dinners.

Her daughter Kathy and her husband Fred preceded her in death.

Maxine is survived by her son, Rick Russom; daughters Kris Russom, Teri Russom-Hay (Keith), and Lori Russom; granddaughter Alisha Hay, grandson Adam Strong; and one great-granddaughter.
