Alice May CASEY Olson 1922 - 1997 SHS 1940

SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Alice May Olson, 74, will be held today at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ronald Nelson officiating.

Mrs. Olson died March 16, 1997, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Sheridan, the daughter of Frank and Georgia (Lathrop) Casey. She grew up and attended elementary and high schools in Sheridan and one year at Union College in Lincoln, Neb. She then attended St. Luke's Hospital in Denver for four years of nurse's training, where she graduated as a registered nurse.

She married Harold Olson on Aug. 19, 1942, and lived most of her life in Sheridan.

She enjoyed dancing, was a member of the Polka Club, raising flowers, craft work, stained glass and sewing. She also loved to eat out.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Retired Nurses Association and Joy Circle at her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of Sheridan, two sons, Gerald and Dan Olson, both of Sheridan, and a daughter, Margaret Kher of Portland, Ore.

Memorials may benefit Trinity Lutheran church Building Fund or the Senior Citizens Center, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Batik, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan H2K01.
